Kidnapped and subjected to experimentation, torture, and horrors beyond comprehension, Izuku and Aizawa only have each other.

Summary
Shinra sucks at taking compliments.
He knows it. People close to him- Ogun -know it. And his stupid nervous tic of a smile makes it painfully obvious. He doesn’t know why he gets so nervous whenever he gets compliments. At first it feels nice— people complimenting him, it gets him all giddy and happy. Until they keep going and it gets overwhelming enough to feel the need to cry.

Aizawa's thrumming fingers froze, any aggravation in his tone making way for hardened disbelief. “That’s impossible. I have the message. It’s from the same automated number as usual. There were no other pros on the scene. …what are you implying?”
“Nothing! I’m not implying you would do anything unprofessional, Eraserhead, I assure you! It’s just that I’m looking through our messages now and no one at our agency reached out to you last night. If you do have a message, it…it wasn’t from us.”
Aizawa brought up a hand to rub at his brow. That made absolutely no sense at all.
“Who would bother doing something like that?”
After being told he couldn't be a hero without a quirk, Izuku joins the support course at UA High. He's determined to learn everything he can. To take matters into his own hands.
Because in the end, isn't that what makes someone a hero?
