In Athens airport, on arrival, you slid open the door to a maintenance room and discovered the corpse of a worker, efficiently knifed by the THRUSH boy. Just for a moment a hideous déjà vu envelops you. The closet is surprisingly large, though not quite large enough for Napoleon to fully stretch out; he is half-lying, half-sitting, braced against a metal mop-bucket on wheels. The handle must be jamming uncomfortably into his back. His eyes are closed, his face pale.

Over the years I’ve acquired a number of important life-saving skills. Trusting my instinct to duck before I’ve heard the sound of a gun being fired. Checking under the mattress for sharp objects or loaded guns before enjoying a night of pleasure with ladies who do not share my allegiances. Learning to judge how angry my partner is before any unpleasantness ensues.
All right, I confess that last one is still a work in progress.

Epilog to the episode:The Deadly Quest Affair
Illya is in the hospital with a concussion. Kidnapped by Viktor Karmac, an old enemy. Held hostage as bait to lure Napoleon into a deadly trap, Illya waits in a sealed room. When Solo breaks into the room deadly poison will be triggered to kill both agents. First, though, Solo has to solve the puzzle of where Illya is being held. Then survive a maze of deadly traps, along with a ferocious jaguar. With only seconds to spare, Napoleon frees Illya, both nearly killed by the poison that ironically claims Karmac. Napoleon is injured saving Illya. Nothing important is ever easy.Bookmarked by Timemidae
