“Wooyoung wants us to bring him back shrimp shumai.” Yeosang says, and Mingi rolls his eyes.
“Of course he does. I told him to just come with us.” Mingi watches as Yeosang delicately dishes out their shumai, picking them out of the steaming basket and placing one on Mingi’s plate.
“He couldn’t,” Yeosang says, and there’s a glint in his eyes. “I told him not to.”
“Oh?” Mingi leans back in his chair, trying to look nonchalant as he chews and not like his stomach is full of somersaulting butterflies. “Trying to get me alone?”
“Trying? Looks like I succeeded.” Yeosang grins at him, eyes crinkling as he immediately flushes and hides his pink face behind his cup of green tea.

“I just started university,” Yeosang says, and he still sits so ramrod straight. “I heard this is a good way to make some money, pay my bills.”
“It can be,” Yunho hums. “But we need to make sure you fit, you know? That you have the talent. That you can follow directions well.”
At that, Yeosang straightens up, looking at Yunho eagerly. “I can. I will do anything, let me prove it to you.”

He’s made himself comfortable in Mingi’s bed, just scrolling on his phone, by the time the door’s room cracks open. He’s had a certain feeling, since he got the text from Mingi, so he kept the lights low. He connected his phone to Mingi’s speaker and he’s playing some random instrumental playlist, just replying to the dumb memes Wooyoung has bombarded him with. He looks up as Mingi closes the door behind him and leans on it. They just look at each other for a moment, and then Yeosang smiles. “Welcome home. How was the shoot?”

Sent by Yeosang at 9:17 am, it reads watch out everyone, he’s extra feral today. And there’s a picture attached, a shirtless selfie in the gym’s mirror, a dark mark on his pec where Wooyoung sunk his teeth and sucked, hard, only an hour prior.

Wooyoung tears into the letter, and he swears to God, his heart stopped. This is worse than a funeral invite.

Your dearest older brother is getting married at the end of December. We would like you home for the break, so you can help us set up the perfect wedding for him. It should only happen once a lifetime! And bring that boyfriend of yours, he'll be your plus one. We already started planning for the amount of people we will need, so no chickening out! Dongyoung wants to see who is keeping his little brother safe at college. Of course, we have fixed up your room for the two of you. Please come as soon as possible!"
Or: Wooyoung forgets to tell his family that he broke up with his boyfriend, and now he's expected to show up to his brother's wedding with a plus one. His only option is to beg Mingi, his roommate who he barely ever talks with, to be his fake-date to the wedding and spend a month with him and his family.
