Summary
Cobb might have been known for his bravado and extravagance, but Din prided himself on his stoic, competent reputation, and he wasn’t about to mess that up now. Not for some social media influencer like Vanth. Din had worked hard to get where he was. He had proper skill and training and years of experience under his belt, those were the things that had earned him his popularity and his status as a celebrity chef.
Not his follower count.

It was all his fault. How was Cobb supposed to think let alone be a good, upstanding marshal when his scent left this ache, this void for more...far more.
Or the one where Cobb invites Mando to share a drink and happily gets far more than he bargained for.

Summary
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a man who was chosen to be the leader of a scattered people. He carried a magical sword that looked like the inverse of all light. But, simply carrying the sword wasn't enough — he also had to prove his mettle through a series of Duels before he could be instated.
Out of a sense of duty, the man agreed to the Duels, and set out to find his destiny.
But was that really such a good idea?

The second Vanth’s hand meets Din’s beskar, wind erupts around them. An orb of light shines from Din’s chest. Vanth stares into it, transfixed, as if nothing else exists. As Din gazes up at him, Vanth’s features go slack, like he’s in a trance. Tentatively, Vanth pushes his hand into the light spilling out from Din — and when it comes back out, it’s followed by the darksaber. When he lifts that hand up in the air, the darksaber stands in a straight line above them, fully ignited.
The last thing Din hears before the world goes black is Vanth’s panicked, “Oh, what the fuck?”
