Summary
Sometimes, all it takes to break a petty rivalry is a week working together and a bit of forced proximity. Or: Yeonjun and Soobin hate each other after a catastrophic year working together in University. Will giving it another go as adults break the ice? Spoiler alert: Yes. Yes it will.

“Choi Yeonjun is not your family,” Beomgyu points out.
“And he is certainly not your friend,” Taehyun adds.
They’re not wrong. Choi Yeonjun is his rival, their enemyhood forged through hours of forced proximity in the cognitive testing labs of their university doing shared data collection for their dissertation. It was awful and evil and they will hate each other forever.
“What happened to ‘working with him makes me want to set the lab on fire and go to prison just to escape him’, hm?” Beomgyu continues. “That’s a direct quote, by the way.”

Summary
If Sieun knows anything about himself, it’s that he’s good at analysing and interpreting data. South Korea has the 12th highest suicide rate in the world, and it is the leading cause of death for those aged 10-39. The male suicide rate is twice as high. Poor social support, high educational pressure, and loss are particular risk factors.
All signs point to the odds never being in his favour.
Still, approximately seven months into Suho’s coma, Sieun realises something that has always been true. Of all the ways a person can die, he was always meant to die by suicide.

Summary
Watching Suho get beaten into a coma has more than just practical consequences for Sieun. He doesn't necessarily realise this straight away.

"Sieun doesn’t even realise he’s digging his nails into his palms until something warm drips down from his knuckles. There’s a deep, clawing nausea working its way from his stomach up his trachea. His whole body feels off - a phantom pain in his right arm, a dizzying back-and-forth between being hot and cold, an almost ringing in his ears.
Hyeontak has shrugged off his blazer, leaving his grey hoodie on full display. One of his light hits lands well and knocks Humin off-balance, and then suddenly they’re not Hyeontak and Humin but Wooyoung and Suho."

Summary
'Kwangsun thinks that gossiping about their relationship like this is a surefire way to get in their bad books—something that historically ends badly—but he also just can’t stop himself.
“They’re cute,” he admits. “I’m happy for them. God knows they deserve it after everything.” It’s wildly out of character for him to be so sentimental, and he’s waiting for the teasing, but his friends just hum thoughtfully instead.
“Yeah,” Baekhyun says softly, Seokmin humming in agreement. “You’re right.”
It’s weird to think of Sieun like this—for so long he’s been an untouchable figure. Seeing him and Suho flirting—because what else could it be?—makes him seem so human.'
