For one long, horrible moment, Loki knew he was dead.
He just didn’t know where exactly that left him.Or, the Infinity Stones have their own agenda, and don't like being used. Loki is an exception to the rule, and is thrust back into the world of the living with a ship full of confused Asgardian refugees. He's not really sure why he's been spared, only that he's got a civilization to save and a brother to catch up to. If only he didn't have to keep making reckless bargains, and people would stop trying to pick him up.
Because being reduced to an adult trapped inside the body of a child was never one of his better plans.

After a horrid revelation of his future, the Drifter reconsiders the best way to lead his life after this amid the Beheaded's insistence that he live. And he makes some impulsive decisions that lead to revelations.
