“How does it feel,” Hayden asks, tilting his head, eyes tracking the way Ilya shifts his weight on the ice, “to play on a losing team?”
“Am I really a loser if I’m fucking your captain?” he asks, cheerfully. “I think that makes me the winner at heart, da?”
The whistle shrieks again. And Hayden barely hears it. He punches Ilya straight across the jaw.
