Summary
Lost are the things that made him glow like the sun on a summer's evening, the warmth no longer there for those around to bask in. Instead, Lan Wangji was faced with someone who held the same jade face like his own, but this one was painfully genuine in its indifference and was never meant to ever be worn by Wei Wuxian who stared back with dull and uncaring eyes.
Or, wwx loses every aspect of himself, scattered with the fragments of his soul when it was shattered and scattered during the backfire of a spell.

Where he was once revered as the peerless second half of the Twin Jades of Lan, he is now regarded as a social outcast of the cultivation world, finding his home in the Burial Mounds rather than Cloud Recesses. He raises Lan Sizhui in Wei Wuxian's memory, helps the Wens he died to protect, and honours the promise the two made when they were young and still believed in dreams.
He is not happy, but he is content.
Three years after the fall of the Yiling Laozu, a festival is held every full moon for a newly born god. They say this god can ease a person's suffering. They say this god brings joy and euphoria.

When he is escorted to the middle of the room, the cultivators part in front of him, going to their own seats, leaving him there, with two Lan disciples at his sides. Wei Wuxian bows to show his respect to Hanguang-jun, who is seated on the elevated seat that he makes look like a throne.“Approach,” Hanguang-jun says. His voice is firm and authoritative, the voice of a leader, a commander.
Wei Wuxian obeys.
In which Wei Wuxian figures out quickly that he isn't meant to be a hostage, but he doesn't quite know how to deal with the fact that he is being treated like an esteemed guest. He isn't complaining though.

After a few small sips of the lightly carbonated sangria, Lan Zhan was gone. He does not remember exactly what happened, but his laptop history claims he watched a downright concerning number of bunny videos and made a series of embarrassing, misspelled google searches.
It appears that one of them, “HO@W TO SUMMON SEXY GHOST BOYGRIENDF WIKIHOW WITH PICS/” led to some fruitful results, one of which was the craigslist tab kept open on his browser before he passed out. He scrolls down, taking in its content.
Modern MDZS AU where a frustrated Lan Zhan hires Wei Wuxian off of craigslist to pretend to be his boyfriend in order to stop his uncle’s matchmaking attempts. Turns out, it’s mutually beneficial.
