Summary
Within the halls of an empty cathedral laid bare from the density of night crawled the echoes of pattering rain tapping its fingers over stained glass windows and a hollow repeated thud against the west doors. It reverberated in a way that caused the single splitting embers of each candle lining the walls and alters to flicker momentarily in timid rays, before stilling as afraid to break the darkness over the lined many pews.
Reverend Mother cookie tumultuously pushed open the rotted wood to reveal a cookie standing in a sheer white gown soaked through with rain, and veiled light blue hair. With a bowed head, she had requested just two things: A warm place to keep from the storm, and a safe place to pray.
