Summary
When Cas opens his little secondhand bookshop next to his brother’s bustling pie café, he expects nothing more than dust, solitude, and the occasional literary kindred spirit. What he doesn’t expect is for someone to start leaving detailed, insightful annotations in the margins of his unfinished manuscript. Or that he’d fall for the stranger behind those notes. Or that he’d also fall—quite inconveniently—for a grease-streaked mechanic with a bright smile and an uncanny love of classic literature.

Dean “Cowboy Chaser” Winchester is a storm chaser known for having the best footage of the tornadoes that descend upon Tornado Alley, in the heart of the Midwest, every spring. He's built a tank--The Imp--from a 1967 Chevy to ride into the storms. His brother is normally his chase partner, but Sam is on bed rest and Dean needs help. He can’t survive and make a profit on his own. Things aren’t looking well until an injured man stumbles into the laundromat.
After some stitches, sandwiches, and stain remover, Dean offers to hire Castiel as his assistant for the storm season. It’s more than he’ll ever make at the gas station. Castiel just has to worry about runaway livestock, dangerous storms, and the nightmares he still can’t escape from the worst day of his life.
Will Castiel take this incredible offer? If he does, will they be able to work together and survive what Mother Nature can throw at them?

Now at age 27, Dean's health has been in rapid decline. Having spent every unbearable heat for the past 14 yrs completely alone, his body has become weak, sickly, frail. Fearing for her son's wellbeing, Mary Winchester makes the bold decision to marry him off to one Castiel James Novak: a wealthy, alpha lawyer from a powerful, socialite family. Castiel is everything that Dean could ever want in a partner (handsome, charming, tall, good in bed, etc.), and everything he could never want in a partner (traditional, controlling, possessive, cocky, irritating, etc.). As a result, Dean *despises* Castiel. If his husband's annoying behavior weren't enough, Dean slowly comes to the realization that Castiel is sitting on a dark secret, and he makes it his life's mission to find out just what exactly the alpha's hiding.
