Summary
It's been one year since Inanimate Insanity ended and its contestants and host earned their freedom. Life goes on for most, but others are still stuck in the past.
Suitcase answers a late-night call from a manic MePhone4, and a new connection is formed that seems to put a season's worth of conflict to bed. Almost.
But, when MePhone3GS turns up on the island in horrible shape and warning MePhone4 will suffer the same fate, Suitcase sets out to drag the former-host-turned-transient back home. Shimmer energy plays funny tricks on unsuspecting robots, and he might not return to the island the same way he left it.

After being abducted by aliens, Homestar Runner finally learns where he might truly belong- and Strong Bad is finally rid of him! Too bad SB's world starts to literally fall apart in Homestar's absence. With Homsar holding down the fort, Strong Bad is forced to drag Homestar's skinny white butt from the "clutches" of a bunch of aliens that look near identical. Shouldn't be too hard.

MePhone4 ends up injured through actions none of them know yet. OJ chooses to keep an eye on him during the recovery process, both to make sure he doesn't cause any problems, but to see if he could find out what happened.
As they spend time together though, feelings escalate.
Obligatory warning that this was written before season 4, and follows sort of a post canon of my own design past s2. meaning s4 & its events have no play in this fic.

Summary

The final four embark on a quest, to track down MePhone4's location. While MePhone4 has other problems to deal with.
With the looming threat now in the forefront, contestants are left wondering about where the host went off to. While MePhone4 himself, has to face truths he rather never learn about. These truths about the island.. about the company that built him.. and truths about him. Can MePhone4 learn to face his troublesome past? Learn to accept what has happened to him and what was taken away from him? Will he learn to grow.. or will the robotic host fall back into old habits..
