Summary
Alice is on her tiptoes, pulling flour out of an overhead cupboard, when she feels a presence at her back. She can’t help but let out a surprised noise, even though this was her goal when she started puttering about in the kitchen. It dissolves into a sheepish laugh when arms curl around her waist and a chin rests on her shoulder, slotting perfectly against the line of her throat like they were made to fit together.
“Sorry.” Alan’s voice is thick with sleep, dozy and quiet in the soft light of the kitchen. Alice hums as his lips brush against her neck; she still isn’t used to the feel of his beard, but she finds that she likes the scratch of it against her skin. “Didn’t mean to startle you.”

In which Astarion gets his groove back... and is deeply obnoxious in the process. Based on that arse-grab in the Patch 5 kiss, that banter with Lae'zel about he and Tav barely being able to keep their hands off each other, and the fact that even if Halsin's not involved with them, he's noticed Astarion and Tav having sex again. Because they're clearly That Damn Couple.

“Don’t become his,” Astarion implored, his soft red eyes so pained. Kieran tried to answer, tried to play out the memory, but the sun was setting right into his eyes, distracting him, its orange fire so ferocious– and the shadows forming in its absence were all the more hungry for it.

“You’re so strong out there, but here, with me… You can be the needy creature you are,” Astarion purred.
~Kieran faces his worst fears in the Temple, defeating Orin only to confront the God of Murder himself. Darkness sinks its hooks into him. Through memories of Astarion's love and support, he resists his Urge, but not without paying a price. Later, Astarion takes care of the wounded warrior, giving him both punishment and reward, and they affirm their love for each other.

Summary
It was a bat. An all white bat with a mop of delicate curls and blood-red eyes. It stumbled, weaving as if it were drunk or didn’t know how to operate its limbs, wings held aloft to try and steady itself.
A vague sense of horror came over Vixie as she knelt and picked up the bat. It went limp between her palms, its claws sinking a tight hold on her forearms, not a wild creature at all. It blinked at her, large ears twitching, snout sniffing, strangely cute for such a demented thing.
“Astarion?” she questioned.
The bat tilted its head as if it understood her.
“Aww,” Wyll said, approaching. “And who’s this little guy?” He reached out to stroke a finger along its chin.
The bat reared its head back and sunk its fangs deep into Wyll’s finger. Wyll jerked back with a curse, blood welling from his broken skin. The bat gave a smirk, lips curling back to bare its fangs.
“Yep, that’s Astarion all right,” Gale proclaimed.

It was like someone had bathed him in warmth after a lifetime of being left in the cold and Astarion couldn’t remember a time that your voice had ever been as welcome as it was in that moment. His breath finally came rushing in and despite not needing it, the relief was almost overwhelming.
He practically slumped with the force of it, despite the fact he was still being crowded in by the bulk of his attackers.

Astarion narrows his eyes at Tav, waving one arm around to encompass the hot, humid jungle that the circus Djinni had teleported them into, the streaks of dirt on his once-pristine white shirt, and Tav himself. “How do you keep getting us into these situations?”
“I know exactly why I’m in here,” Tav tells him cheerfully, unrepentant. “But I don’t know why you got thrown in Djinni-jail.”
“Collateral damage, I suppose,” Astarion says vaguely, then seems to remember that he’s supposed to be cross with Tav and promptly frowns at him.
“Sorry,” Tav tells him apologetically. “Akabi’s face though, when we saw through his trick!” He starts laughing again.
“Ugh. I don’t know why I put up with you.”

Astarion lets out the heaviest sigh he can manage, making it all kinds of dramatic. He has an audience after all. He turns to said audience, looking them straight in the eyes, and says,
“Can you believe I’ve been relegated to this? By my own lover, no less.” He only gets a headshake and a slow blink in reply. “Have you nothing to say about my misfortune? At all?"
Or, after a violent altercation that leaves most of the party dead or incapacitated, Astarion ends up cooking dinner for the newly healed and revivified. It goes as well as you... wouldn't expect, really.

“Do you,” he says again, his expression hardening, “keep track of how long it has been since we last had sex?” His tone is now one of one person explaining something to someone they find to be too stupid to understand. It is harsh and biting. Even though I’m almost certain that it is a defensive tactic, it still hurts to hear it like that. How long has this been rattling around in his head?
“No,” I answer honestly. I can probably reason out when we last had sex if I try hard enough, but honestly a lot of days blend together if I’m working on a project of magical nature. I’m not certain that even if I wanted to keep track it would be accurate. “Do you?”
