Zhongli was so very tired. He had fulfilled his contract and left the Northland Bank, seeking out a quiet mountain area to sit and collect himself. He was already exhausted without the energy from a Gnosis he had held for millennium, and even more distressed from the revelations of Childe in the bank. It was only natural that he was startled when someone approached from behind and began to speak.

Now his own day-to-day life is full of things like angels, witches, hooded spectres, portals between worlds, vague yet menacing branches of the Magisterium, and a man who walks around without his daemon and can read an alethiometer as easily as a stop sign.

Summary
After the events of the panopticon, Jon and Martin find themselves in another universe, one that's lagged approximately three years behind theirs. Both finding themselves on the twenty-fifth of May, 2015, with full memory of the events that transpired, but just one day too late to avoid working in the archives altogether (without gouging their eyes out). Jon and Martin suddenly find themselves in a horrific Juggling act. Can Jon and Martin keep up the act, save their friends, stop Elias, and prevent the Web from causing the apocalypse in this new, much more disposable universe?

Jon never expected he’d one day have to mourn his own death. He doesn’t even get to go to his own funeral. Life is full of funny little surprises like that.
In which Jon and Martin end up stuck in the Magnus Institute as ghosts, the tunnels beneath the Archives are haunted, Elias gets thwarted by a spider, and murder is plotted over tea and stolen glances.
Rated M just to be safe, no smut but depictions of injury and violence. Will add tags where necessary as the story progresses!
