There had always been a certain tension between them, often attributed to the nature of their relationship, but she also felt a certain pull towards the other woman. She was brilliant, without a doubt. Derek’s reluctance to talk about her made her seem mysterious and interesting, and she seemed like a nice person whenever she wasn’t around either of them.
