Galinda, my sweet, you are to be the sun, with a skirt as round and golden as the noon sky, and I am to be the moon, all silver and blue, naturally."
"Oh, naturally." Elphie agrees, poking him with her bony fingers until he shifts so that she's not crammed up on the headboard quite so badly. "And I'll be the wind, and sweep myself out of the way where I can be heard, and not seen."

She's six years old, and the only other soulmark that she's ever had is with her mother. Mal knows that being marked by her mother is a good thing, because her mother is respected and being marked by her means that Mal should be respected too.

“F-uu-ck y-you,” Mal grits out, trying to keep the shivers out of her voice. “I’m f-f-fine. I don’t need you to baby me like I’m some kind of pathetic princess. I can keep myself warm.”
“Sure you can, killer,” Jay agrees, still pulling his own crusty pile of blankets closer. “But it’s cold as balls outside, and we don’t have heat anymore after somebody decided to try and light the building on fire, so if you don’t mind too much, I’d like to wake up alive, and not frozen to a popsicle.”
Mal’s shivering so hard she can’t muster a comeback to that, which is really all the invitation that Jay seems to need to just insert himself into her space.
It's better than freezing to death.

Auradon Prep is built on the bones of a castle. One that was intended to house a city in times of need. The hallways of the outer courtyard are built to accommodate horses, and they’re more than big enough for two groups of students to pass through without running into each other.
One of the lacrosse boys pulls his bag back up his shoulder. His heavy, overstuffed gear bag. Which he just used to hit Evie.
“Get out of the way, evils,” he sneers. “Can’t you tell when your betters are coming through?”
“I can tell that you’re not one of them,” Evie snaps. “You would do well to keep your mouth shut next time, and keep your filthy equipment to yourself.”
The boy stops walking. “Make me.”
From there, it's basically fight-on-sight.

It’s Descendants omegaverse, folks! There’s no defense for this nonsense. It is 100% self-indulgent, worldbuilding-focused, werewolf-adjacent ot4/ot5 fic about a dcom series.
