Summary

10/6/24: I apologize but this story will be going on hiatus for an unknown amount of time. I might pick it back up, I might abandon it. The story is fun, I know what I want, but I made the dialog too complicated with what happens in chapter 7/8. I might rework it if I do abandon it, I apologize to anyone who keeps coming back in hopes it's been updated.

Summary
Cow hybrid Soap lived happily on a small farm under the care of Nikolai and Gaz. He spent his days grazing sweet grass under the cool shade and sunning himself in the warm rays of the sun.
There was only one problem. When it came to milking time, he could never produce enough milk to meet quota.
He was glad that Gaz, who took care of the cows, was kind enough to give him gentle encouragement and reassurance, but Soap could see that even he was reaching his wits' end.
"C'mon Soap," Gaz murmured as he shut off the machine, "We don't wanna let you go, mate, but we're a small farm. Can't afford to keep cattle that don't produce," he pet Soap's hair gently, "If you don't give us more milk, our last resort will be to breed some calves out of ya."
Within the next week, Soap was met with the arrival of a new bull by the name of Ghost. Tall, blond, and the most gorgeous man Soap had ever seen in his life.
With some of Ghost's help, he would soon have no issue at all producing enough milk.

Summary
Simon was at a crossroads. He could tell Johnny the truth, and risk him freaking out or not believing him, or he could lie.
In the end, it wasn't even really a choice.
"Sorry, I mistook you for someone else," Simon forced himself to say. "You look just like him."
Johnny's tense smile relaxed into something more natural.
"It's all good, guess I just have one of those faces," he chuckled.

Ghost had believed that Soap died in that tunnel, only to accidentally run into him—alive and well—three years later. The only issue is that Soap is now married, and doesn't remember a thing of his previous life.
But that's alright. Ghost will fix everything.

Summary
John tucks his nose into the crook of Simon’s neck, cold against the fabric of his mask, and Simon can only hold him tighter, letting his own scent wash away every trace of the other alpha.
“Johnny.”
The name comes unbidden to his lips, Simon able to feel the shiver that wracks Soap’s body, the goosebumps that prickle his skin. John’s fingers tighten in his shirt, warm breath against the cloth at Simon’s neck. He’s so close, the scent of him soothing over Simon’s own skin like a balm to the ache that lives buried deep inside of him.
He knows he should say something, do something, but he’s frozen, rooted to the spot.
Johnny is his best friend. His best fucking friend in the entire world and while he knows the man won’t speak on what happened tonight, Simon is offering whatever comfort he can.
But maybe it’s not his to offer. Maybe the reason Johnny went out tonight is because he’s looking for something.
