Summary
Grian wheezed in pain, trying desperately to pull air into his lungs. He could only manage small sips of oxygen through the agony lacing through every inch of his body, broken and battered beyond repair.
If he were in a better state of mind and body, maybe he would have laughed over the situation. The villain was supposed to be a Class D, a simple takedown, straight to prison. He should have known when three heroes showed up that it wouldn’t be an easy fight, but all the information had led to them being a tame villain.
Now, dying in an alleyway, he knew that the information had been very, very wrong.
