In addition to living in a society where the majority, but not all, of people have Quirks that develop at a certain age, some people are even more special, singled out with Soul Traits. Identifying factors that linked one person to another. The connection changed from person to person. The only sure thing that those with Soul Traits seemed to share with each other, was that if you didn’t develop it before you turned 15, you didn’t have a soulmate. You were still able to love and be loved in return, it was just another way the universe had come up with to say, “You aren’t special enough.”
What started out as a study in Bakugou’s pain as felt through a soulmate’s tether with some light canon sprinkled in for flavor and quickly turned into a study of the nature of Soulmates. Along with some slice-of-life UA dorm life shenanigans and willful miscommunication between soulmates.
