Summary
A broken Norn-Queen flees an Imperial ambush, her Hive Fleet tendril scattered, coming to rest in a sleepy backwater system deep within the Imperium of Man. With no brood to nurture, and the biomatter for barely a single form - the creation of which will push the Queen deep into hibernation - a decision is made to take a hitherto-unknown track to preserve the Queen... and one day, perhaps, return the tendril to its former glory and prior mission. No swarm lord, no Tyrant, but something wholly new emerges from the last spawning pool, tasked as a champion for this strange new purpose.
A possibly ongoing story, began with the intention to answer the ever-asked question: 'Well, how would YOU write a Tyranid story?' The answer may include failed Genestealer Cults, a stalled revolution, Imperial intrigue and the long, bloody roll of history's wheel - both the lessons learned, and those that failed to stick.

Summary
The Cicatrix Maledictum did not simply tear the Imperium in half - it cracked the once-inviolable bastion of the Galactic Core, exposing the Leagues of Votann to the galaxy at large. With danger comes new opportunities, however. The Hesperian League, as eager for trade and plunder as any, has brokered the kind of deal that would see their contemporaries twist in a jealous agony. Finding the backwater system of Prestor under observation by a single Mechanicus outpost, the League have moved in on what their survey fleets say is a wealth of precious minerals, sure to elevate the League's standing and allow it to stave off the hostile overtures of the Kronus Hegemony.
But with great reward comes unknown risk. Why did the Imperium leave only a single monitoring station in a system so rich in resources, containing a human colony only now developing into early spaceflight of their own? What secrets do the shattered outer planets of Prestor hold? And, what will the arrival of the disgraced Commander Ono Otami, aboard a maligned vanity project of a light carrier, mean for the ever-escalating tensions between the Imperium of Man and the Leagues of Votann?
