This work takes place about a year post-canon in the World of Mages, created by Rainbow Rowell. It also uses the plot and several characters from the novel Crooked House, by Agatha Christie as the backbone of the story.
It is the sequel to my other work "A New Day."

Summary
Simon Snow has managed to convince Baz, Penelope, and Shepard to open a private investigation firm with him. After a conversation with an old woman on the London underground, Shepard becomes curious about a string of deaths in the small town of Wytchwood under Ashe. Fearing that the deaths might be the work of a serial killer, Simon and Baz head to Wytchwood to investigate. Fortunately Simon's newly discovered cousin happens to live there and is able to offer them lodgings and assistance with their investigation. Meanwhile, Penelope and Shepard stay behind, and Penelope grapples with how to talk to Shepard about something very important that's been weighing on her.
This work takes place a few months post-canon in the World of Mages, created by Rainbow Rowell. It also uses the plot and several characters from the novel Murder Is Easy, by Agatha Christie as the backbone of the story.
