Summary
It was Seiko who had noticed the haunting first. On Tuesday night she’d squinted at Momo, taken a drag of a cigarette, and asked if Momo had been hearing any strange noises or getting random chills.
Momo did. There was sometimes an echo to her footsteps, as though someone had been hesitating before chasing after her, and she kept waking up to a chill in the air that she’d assumed was just her grandmother turning off the heat to save electricity.
Seiko had stared somewhere behind her with narrowed eyes before shrugging and turning back to the TV, the cathode ray screen unusually fuzzy. “Creepy little thing. It'll go away eventually, animal spirits don't tend to last long.”
When Momo had asked for clarification, Seiko’d just waved a dismissive hand at her. “I’m a fraud, remember? Ghosts don’t exist.”
Or: In another world, Ayase Momo never turned around on that staircase.

Summary
Ken Takakura had long since relented to his daily life of school bullies, no friends, and ultimately being alone, only for the universe to finally give him the chance at making a bond when THE Momo Ayase stands up for him.
….Only for him to blow it.
Despite missing out on a golden opportunity, Ken refused to not at least give Miss Ayase his thanks. So with one little note placed inside a shoe locker, a bond is slowly built and two lives are slowly changed.
A No Power AU, where Ken misses out on his chance to follow after Momo, and decided to reach out in a different way.
