Louis' sadness and deprivation push Lestat away as much as they can, until there's no more strength to fight for the love Lestat knows he could never receive. After that, his fledgling starts to realize that perhaps there was love somewhere.
-"Don't mind me. I've only come to save some of my belongings" Lestat was emotionless as he closed the bedroom door and window.
'Please tell me I'm one of them' Louis thought sadly, but he didn't notice any sign of understanding.
