The smile slips off Eddie’s face. His fingers fall out of Buck’s hair, move to his shoulder blade. “Yeah?” he asks, his tone noncommittal.
“Too good to be true,” Buck says, more honest than he thinks he’s going to be.
Eddie blinks again, nods. “Nothing scarier than a miracle,” he agrees.

Brian's always been drawn to sleek lines and flash, but when he saw the hulk of the Challenger rotting in a junkyard outside Mexicali he'd grinned and said something about Miami and good times.
