Meet Ash Ketchum, an 11-year-old boy full of imagination, confidence, and dreams that are almost too big for his village of Pallet Town—plus the desire to become a Pokémon Wizard Master!
Ash is finally old enough to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, one of the finest magical institutions in the wizarding world! There, he will be able to receive his first Pokémon from Professor Oak, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher—but on the morning Ash is supposed to claim it, he oversleeps! By the time he arrives at Professor Oak’s classroom, the Pokémon he wanted have already been chosen by the other Wizards-in-training, including his rival, Gary! The only Pokémon remaining is a strong-willed Pikachu.
With his new partner in tow, Ash soon joins Hogwarts’ esteemed Battling Club, where he challenges Gym Leader Wizards and Witches, competes in regional Pokémon Leagues, or other competitions, and meets a variety of friends who support him in his goal. Over the course of seven school years, Ash and his friends navigate studying magic, working toward their individual goals, overcoming rivalries, forming bonds with Pokémon, and even love.
