Summary
Rachel wanted to see the stars, but more than anything, she wanted to be the stars.
That was why she reached her hand out to Bam who had nothing.
For the first time in her life, Rachel was seen by someone. She was worshipped by someone, was wanted by someone, was needed by someone. But it wasn’t enough. She wanted to be admired by all the people in this world. She wanted to be seen by every last one of them. She wanted to become a star so badly that she set off towards the Tower of Gods to have her wish granted.
However, no one has told her that stars aren't the only thing that shines in the dark night.
No one had told her that by becoming a star, she would become a lowly servant under the God of the Moon, Khun Aguero Agnis.
So Rachel will kill the God of the Moon and then she will be the only one to shine in the night.

Everyone thought they were in love. Well. That wasn’t entirely accurate. Everyone thought Khun knew he was in love with Bam and was secretly pining, and that Bam was either ignorant to human emotion and had no idea that what he felt for Khun was the burning romance that deserved to be written in the stars, or, that things were sadly a little bit lopsided, but Bam still did love Khun some, even if maybe not to the same degree.
None of this was true.

The beings cast out by the Tower caused a lot of controversy at first. Everyone had differing opinions on what they were, and what they were doing outside. However, humanity seemed to at least be in agreement that they were nothing good. Whether they used to be: Gods, Angels, Devils, Monsters, ect it didn’t matter.

It works, except that said warlord is about to learn just how dangerous it is to allow someone like Khun, who literally grew up with this sort of intrigue, into a position where he can put his considerable skill in plotting and backstabbing to use.

Bam has never said this out loud before, and his voice breaks a bit as he does. There’s silence on the other side of the line.
It’s never been a possibility; he’s never allowed himself to think it ever was.
Even though some nights, he’s sure that’s all he feels, on the edge of grieving for someone who’s not yet gone.
(or between losing Khun and getting him back, Bam thinks through how to cope - and then Khun comes back to him)
