Summary
It has nearly been fifty years since Legundo, doctor and unwilling vampire, died in Oakhurst. A man with his face and voice and the same bloodied past finds himself once more drowning out the ache of violent memories at the first bar he finds. He isn't expecting to see a familiar face, not that he can say why the crimson garbed stranger is familiar in the first place. Legs doubts he could forget a face as pale and perfect as a marble tomb effigy and eyes like a fresh wound.
Scott, for his part, cannot resist toying with the spitting image of the doctor who hated him like no other. His promise never prevented him from being a nuisance, after all.

Summary

She thinks it’s foxes again.
Every so often, one of them tried to den down in a tomb. Usually by accident, diving in and accidentally breaking through the soil. She can smell the fresh disturbed dirt, the gentle smell of loam and decay and moldering rot, old stone exposed to air.
Cleo cursed under her breath, speeding up her steps. The closest tomb was the one where Avid had laid to rest and it had been undisturbed a week ago, when the dramatic trio came through to mooch and mope.
