Summary
Hansol reads the exchange over and over and over. He still can’t put a finger on why he can’t get it out of his brain. He’s been texted by wrong numbers before, but there’s something about this one. Maybe it’s the all lowercase. Maybe it’s the insistence that he respond, and quickly. Maybe it’s just that he’s lonely and hasn’t had a friendly, no-strings conversation with anyone in what feels like a very, very long time.
He switches over to Seokmin’s texts asking for a clarifying question on a bit they’d recorded the day before. Then, his phone buzzes and he does a double take at the banner at the top of his screen.
It’s the unknown number from the night before.

Summary
The thing is that Seungcheol has been coming here for the same two weeks for six years, and for the other eleven and a half months out of the year, he simply misses Jeonghan.
(The Guesthouse is an inn tucked away near the mountains just outside of Seoul. It has no website, no SNS, and very few reviews. Seungcheol spends his Decembers there.)

Summary
If he’s hearing Hansol’s voice, he must still be half-asleep. Or dead. One of the two. The only time he’s heard Hansol’s voice in the past few months has been in his dreams. He almost thought he was forgetting the cadence of it.
His vision shifts, sticking to recognizable objects. He's in the back of a car. It’s late afternoon. Hansol has no hair. Hansol is looking at him with a crease between his brows, mouth set into a serious line. He has a scar on his cheek that didn’t used to be there.
Seungkwan still doesn’t know what to make of it. Hansol shouldn’t be here. He should be dead, or long gone. Packed up with his brother and headed south. Not near the city.
“Am I dead?” Seungkwan asks. His tongue feels too big in his mouth. He swallows, but his mouth is too dry.
Hansol releases his hold on Seungkwan’s arms. He frowns. “Not yet.”
(OR: Amidst the end of the world, exes Chwe Hansol and Boo Seungkwan are forced to rely on each other for survival.)

Summary
Seungkwan had convinced himself he’s forgotten how dreamy Hansol used to be to him. He’s only gotten more attractive as the years pressed on, but Seungkwan had just got better at looking away. It’s impossible to look away right now.
For years, Seungkwan and Hansol’s relationship has always been teetering on something.
When Seungkwan needs a new roommate, Hansol moves in with him. Being in close proximity makes them realise that they might have a lot of feelings to unpack.

Summary
Jeonghan gave up on the idea years ago but an innocent remark from Seungkwan and a seemingly well-timed post from Seungcheol has him right back to where he started.
