He doesn’t remember the walk from the Drake residence to his neighbor’s, can’t fathom why he’s even here in nothing but a sleep shirt and boxers. He doesn’t recall vomiting, but clearly it happened, because he’s staring at a puddle of his own sick on the ground.
Dear god, he thought over the buzzing in his skull. I just threw up on Batman’s front steps.
Hurt and disoriented, Tim finds himself outside the Wayne Manor. Good thing there’s people inside who care about him.

“Here,” Jason says, passing the tray over to Damian. “Go bring Dick this.”Damian redirects his scowl, but the furrow in his brow looks more curious than angry now. “What is it?”
“Papanasi,” he answers. “It’s, uh. It’s something his family used to make.”
Damian accepts the tray, holding it as carefully as he would delicate electronics. “And this will…make him happy?”
He doesn’t laugh at him. “Nah, kid,” he says wearily. “He’s not going to be happy until he knows his family is safe. But it’ll help.”
The smaller boy clambers down from the stool, taking care not to drop the dessert as he does. He hesitates on his way out of the kitchen. “I…am looking forward to Drake’s safe return,” he says.
Jason snorts. “For Grayson’s sake, yeah, yeah.”
“Yes,” he says, shifting on his feet. “For Grayson’s sake.” Another beat, and finally he pads out of the room, very seriously balancing the tray that looks ridiculously large in his small arms.

He doesn’t bother to try and disguise his anxiety, just gets to the point. “I have to go off my suppressants.”

The rocky ledge is so close to the ground that he has to bend over to peer under it to look at the cowering mer.
Huge blue eyes stare back at him, bright with terror and fury.
It’s not a shark mer.
It’s one of the massacred pod.
A fry, tiny, not even the full length of one of Bruce’s tentacles.

Some frayed thread of self-control, worn thin by years of this bullshit, finally snaps. “I was always here, I was always ready for you to come home and act like family,” he spits back, heart pounding in his chest. “You were the ones who never wanted to be. Bruce Wayne has acted like more of a father to me than you ever have.”
Jack’s hands move from pinning his shoulders to wrapping around his throat in the space between heartbeats. Tim should be able to break the hold, easy. Should be able to push him away, strike his legs out from under him even without his bo staff to help him. He’s Robin.
Instead, cold ice spills through his veins, freezing him in place even as his windpipe buckles.

Summary
Lusamine's smile, glued on— like when he forced a smile when he secretly wanted to cry, except she was hiding something much more bitter inside than just repressed fear and bad memories. Her voice, though smooth and dripping with syrupy sweetness (sticky and thick and nauseating), was as grating on his ears as nails dragging long and hard down a chalkboard, sending chills up and down his spine.
She was too sweet, cloying, like when copious amounts of perfume were added to hide a foul smell, choking the air around him.
Ash hadn't been truly scared of someone in a long time. Lusamine...she was terrifying.

There's this kid who angry at everything, and a kid who wants to analyze everything and people are telling him to go to a school especially for heroes. This is definitely on the top five on the scale of weird things that have happened to him.
