Summary
A Cajun chef and a cargo hold of other humans are captured by Aliens. Zygerrian slavers. Turns out that Star Wars is real, George Lucas had visions, and it's the middle of the Clone Wars.
Of course, the visions scrambled the order of things, people look nothing like the actors cast for them, and humans do not domesticate well. Still, how much trouble can a few humans cause?

He passes out for a little bit and wakes to a hand on his ankle. It’s Sid, shirtless in the pool, smiling at him. “You got room up there for me?”
It’s a tight fit, but Sid manages to wriggle onto the float without dumping Zhenya into the water. Zhenya doesn’t know why Sid’s giving him this personal attention, but he’s not going to argue, and he’s flushed with pleasure as Sid settles beside him, on his belly with his legs dangling into the water.

Flower leans forward. “I already think you’re crazy, cher,” he says earnestly, and Sid laughs in spite of himself. It’s so perfectly a Flower response that he can’t help being comforted.
“Oh, fuck you. I’m seeing a ghost.”
Flower looks thoughtful. “Seeing like… romantically involved?” he asks.
“What? No oh my god, what is wrong with you?” Sid sputters. “Seeing like he keeps appearing to me!”
“Oh, well,” Flower says, leaning back. “That’s okay then.”

Somewhere in Massachusetts, a nervous boy will click on a YouTube video entitled "Bad Bob's Best Bouts Vol. 4: 1987, Boston". He'll watch, wide-eyed, as Robert Zimmermann and a man in a Bruins sweater square off and shake out of their gloves, circling each other like dogs.
"Good lord," the boy will whisper as a blurry video of two large hockey players rolling around on the ice plays on his laptop. He'll watch as the two of them leave smears of blood in their wake, listen as commentators crow about penalty minutes and well-deserved nicknames. He'll tab back to the Wikipedia page of the man his teammates had been talking about, eyes widening as he reads.
And then he gets to the personal life section.
But all of that... The boy, the computer, the teammates astounded at the boy's ignorance... All of that comes later. Twenty-seven years later.
For now it's 1987, and a young actress has just gone to see a hockey game.

"I see you watch him," Geno says, leaned in so he's talking directly into Jamie's ear. Jamie tenses, but Geno doesn't move away. He drops his arm over Jamie's shoulders and it shouldn't feel like a trap, but it does, even if Geno doesn't do anything other than hold on. "Is hard not look, I know." Sometime after Jamie got distracted by Sidney's ass, Hags had left the booth and subsequently left Jaime alone with Geno, abandoned except for the clutter of empties.
