“I won’t.” He sounded so certain that she was starting to believe him.
“How can you be sure?”
“Because it’s you.” It was said so softly that she thought she imagined the words. “Because it’s us and if I was the kind to believe in soulmates, I’m pretty sure you’d be mine.” And, oh god. Her face felt so warm and she was pretty sure he was in the same predicament. Luke has always been soft and sweet when it came to her but she has never heard him say something downright cheesy.

“How can you ignore it if you have a child now?” Lucius asked, sitting by his side and playing with Potter’s fingers. “How old is he anyway?”
