His body felt too heavy, too tired, and the idea of moving felt impossible. He wanted them to leave- no, he didn’t want them to leave… he couldn’t figure out what to do. He felt trapped between his own exhaustion and the fear of being vulnerable.
His breath hitched, frustration welling up inside him as he struggled to communicate. He couldn’t. Not now. Not like this.
Or, Etho overworks himself and regresses. Beef comes to his rescue.

Bdubs smiles, something wide, genuine.
“Then get to work.”BdoubleO is the pilot of LTS-143, on its way from the Meridian to the Prometheus, two space stations a week's flight apart. On board with him is his friend and life partner, Etho Slab. It's supposed to be a quiet journey, with few problems, and little to do besides pace around and play cards.
This is not the case.
