"the fuck, b?" dick asks, and really, it's not fair. he's supposed to be asking about the funeral; why bruce didn't tell him sooner, why he didn't hold it, how the fuck any of this is acceptable. his goddamn brother died and he wasn't even told, and that's more than enough bullshit to deal with for a year, much less a few hours. but there's a baby in the batcave, hiccuping sobs in a basket placed carelessly on a rolling desk drawn close to the computer's keyboard. dick chokes back a hysteric laugh at the kid's tuft of black hair and aquamarine eyes. fucking hell does bruce have issues. this had damned well not be what it looks like.
or, dick grayson returns from a mission to find his brother dead and buried. confronting bruce results in another life-changing revelation.

Dick Grayson and Koriand'r are engaged and living in Bludhaven wanting a normal life. They have a nice apartment and are ready to get married when everything gets turned upside down. One night Dick hears about a new 'little Birdy ' accompanying Batman on the streets of Gotham. After what happened to Jason...Dick figures he should check it out and ends up getting way more than he bargained for. Then to further complicate things a very familiar figure decides to give the couple a 'engagement gift'. Now Dick and Kori have to find a way to navigate their new life as parents from the ground up. Luckily, they have friends and family that can help them out! What could possibly go wrong?
