What had he done to deserve this torture, other than be brought from his own world into this one against his will? Why had his father created him, only to dump him into the hands– the soulless tyranny of corporate greed? Why must he be haunted by the consequences of his creator’s failures– worse yet, of his father’s accomplishments?
The questions didn’t matter, yet they consumed the Ink Demon nonetheless. What else was there to do, when cursed with unholy life and caught in an endless web of halls and hideaways? Everything went in circles, circles, circles that he had no other choice but to aimlessly wander– why wouldn’t his mind be the same? In a way, the broken remnants of his consciousness was all that he had left.
