The last word echoed in his mind, carrying a weight he couldn’t ignore. Alone. He was alone, with no one knowing how he had ended up there—no family, no friends. He shuddered at the thought of how many years he might have been waiting, expecting, dreaming for someone to find him, to love him… And then, it happened—he was found in the end.

Summary
Silver was especially kind to the vice-housewarden. Vanrouge was generally friendly with everyone but there was something familiar in how he treated Silver. Several times have you managed to pick up snippets of their conversations, and so far they've ranged from schoolwork discussions to Silver offering to do Vanrouge's laundry. Which wouldn't be so odd if they really did know each other prior to NRC, however— you still thought it a bit strange.
Diasomnia's vice-housewarden and the new student are rather close.
