Miguel had made the decision because he wanted to learn more than the colleges in Mexico could offer. He wanted to learn as many languages as he could, learn to play as many instruments he could get his hands on. He wanted to be able to play and listen to music from all around the world, and this was the best place for it.
He had no desire to become a big singer like Héctor had once wanted to be, or like Ernesto de la Cruz was. He didn’t want to be rich or famous, if he could only spread his love of music then he would be happy.
This place was strange, but it was undeniably incredible. Even though the streets smelt weird and he couldn’t even begin to understand the disrespectful nature of the majority of the people, he loved every second of uniqueness.
But as much as he loved the differences, it was completely unnecessary for it to be so hard to get from the grocery store back home.
Or
Miguel Rivera is new to San Fransokyo, and because of that ends up getting into trouble. Luckily, there is a hero patrolling.

Xingqiu had been searching for his friend, looking in every nook and cranny of the cold mountain. Searching his brain over and over for a memory that might help him. They had been fighting the Fatui and a group of hilichurls when they had decided to run because it was too much for them. One second Chongyun had been right behind him, and then he wasn’t.
He was trying to keep a calm expression on his face despite the absolute terror he was going through. A million questions threw themselves at his brain as he frantically all but turned the mountain upside down. 'Where is he? What's he doing? Is he okay? What if he's dead? He was screaming his friend's name on the verge of tears, hoping maybe he'd be able to hear it despite the howling winds, when he'd heard the crack and the sound of the Fatui machinery.
He'd assumed he had walked close enough to another camp for them to see him, so he began to inch away when he heard it.A scream.

It's stupid how easily she is swept from her thoughts at the sight of her, its dumb the way her eyes get caught so easily on her olive eyes, its idiotic the way she wants so badly to run her hands through her brown hair. Not even to mention that she practically has her lips memorized. Every dip and crescent scar from skating, the beautiful pink tint, and how it seems like even the day shines brighter when Miriam smiles. That stupid, amazing, dorky, smile.
It's surprising that Miriam still hasn't noticed her lovestruck staring lately.
