Fiyero knew this was dangerous but he couldn’t care less. He could feel the weight of his collar under his shirt. A subtle reminder of the woman who owned every part of him. That same woman who was eyeing him darkly from across the room. As he shamelessly flirted with their new colleague. He was cute, all dark curls and dimples. Frankly aside from the pale skin the man across from him resembled his wife greatly. Fiyero knew exactly how to flirt. He stood too close to the man. Hand lightly brushing his bicep. Making far too much eye contact. Only for his eyes to dart over to his wife from time to time. To the uninitiated everything seemed normal with Elphaba. Her eyes were occupied with grading the papers for her Animal history lecture. But Fiyero saw the darkness in her eyes when her gaze met his briefly. It was a darkness only Fiyero could bring out in her. He would be absolutely in for it when he got home that evening. And Oz above he was looking forward to it

Summary
Fiyero Tigelaar has one thought inside his head: Elphaba Thropp.
So much so that he goes as far as betraying the Emerald City and its anti-Animal beliefs in order to be the first to find her. But, he quickly finds that one cannot simply outsmart the great Wizard of Oz and Madame Morrible. And Morrible wants the entirety to know that Fiyero Tigelaar is nothing more than the Wicked Witch of the West's dog.
And she takes that quite literally, leading the young prince to find out what it's like to be an Animal in the great land of Oz.

The large fire was in the center of the room surrounded by equipment she didn't have names for. There was a bellows connected to a hole in the stone below the fire, though it was far larger than any she had ever seen before. Off to the side was a large bucket of what looked like oil, another of newspaper and a trough filled with water. And in the center of it all, at a large anvil, stood Fiyero.
Or, Fiyero takes up metalworking and Elphaba has feelings about it.
