    Summary

The notion of a human sending sweets to their loved ones on a specific day every year piqued Venti’s interest. “What type of confections are we talking about?”

“Mainly chocolates, though some are known to give cakes and other desserts as well.” Egeria pointed to a nearby display containing various fruits covered in chocolate. “A few years ago I decided to experiment with some fruit and, well, as humans tend to do, they decided to emulate me.”

Venti looked at the chocolate covered fruit, spotting an apple covered in chocolate. He could probably just buy it, but….

“Would you teach me?” He asked, his breath fogging up the mirror of the display.

“Very well, but know that I am a strict culinary chef. Should you listen to my words exactly, you shall create something truly exquisite.” She nodded to herself, standing up a little straighter. “Come along, Barbatos, there’s much work to be done.”

    Summary

It has been exactly 147 days since his beloved bard was erased from time.

No one remembers—not his closest friends, not even Time herself.

Only Venti remembers. His name locked within his mind, never to be uttered again, lest he incur the wrath of Decarabian’s cataclysmic death that his bard had spread across the entirety of Time.

    Summary

After emerging from the rebellion against the Storm God, he is all but keenly aware of how situations can unfold into the most unexpected of paths. For you may start the day with a skip to your steps, only for the very world itself to shift underneath you. Unsteady, wobbling, perhaps even a bubble of bafflement popping in front of you.

Holding the cloak of Venti’s in his hands, the brilliant white cloth gleaming as the moonlight shines over it in dancing rays, while the tatters of his own cloak lay over the surface of his bed, he thinks—ah, this could certainly be a tale of such matters.

or: for day 5 of bardven week, dress up, the bard loses his cloak and gains a new one all together

    Summary

The rebellion had reached the tower when it suddenly began to sink into the earth and erupted into strange fire. The people fell back, scrambling away in panic as the winds began to pick up and a storm formed.

“Oh no,” Barbatos whispered. “We’re too late.”

Dorian turned to him in horror. “W-what’s happening?”

“He gave into the Abyss. There’s…some sort of rift that’s—” Barbatos flinched, doubling over in pain as he felt the warning from Celestia echo in his bones.

    Summary

“Dorian,” Venti said, and he sounded just like his tiny form, but without the undercurrent of bell-like sounds. “I’m home. I’m sorry I took so long.”

Dorian pushed himself off the chair with a feral desperation, uncaring at the pain that shot up his arm. He put every ounce of strength into closing the gap between them, tears rolling down his cheeks as he threw his right arm around the archon.

“Venti,” Dorian whispered against the other’s cheek brokenly, his hand threading into the Anemo Archon’s hair to make sure it wasn’t another pain-induced hallucination that had plagued him the first few days after Decarabian's fall. “You're back.”
