Summary
Katsuki has resigned himself to the fact that he is not and never will be Izuku’s special someone. Which is fine. He’s content to be in his life, both of them flying towards the same goal, always competing and hanging on each other’s tails. No one has to know what he’s really feeling, especially not Izuku.
But one day, Katsuki decides to be a bit selfish. If he can’t have Izuku forever, maybe he can steal him away for a week and have it all to himself. It’s okay to pretend, isn’t it? Just for a little while.
His heart has already been breaking for years, what’s a few more days?

or: Katsuki invites Izuku to spend a week away with him in the mountains, as friends, just so Katsuki can enjoy his presence for a while longer before Izuku is swept away by someone else. He doesn’t count on the fact that that short period of time might be enough to completely change the course of their future.
