Summary
Franky Doyle has a choice: maximum time in a minimum security prison... or the arena, a weekly competition in which prisoners, sponsored by the city's elite, try to kill each other for the entertainment of the public.
Bridget Westfall also has a choice: continue to ignore the arena's existence, marking it up as an unfortunate stain on her father's legacy, or sponsor one of the incoming prisoners, and in doing so help them survive.
