Color was peacefully resting on the couch, before he heard keys jingling from the front door. Immediately, he knew it was Delta, and paused his show to greet his roommate.
Smiling as the door cracked open, he began to speak, "Hey, Delta! How was the-"
He was swiftly cut short when someone was seen trailing close behind Delta.
Delta brightened up at the sight of his roommate, but he seemed... off. He was smiling almost anxiously, pulling the figure behind him as if to cloak them from Color's view.
"Hey Col! Uh, listen, I have someone I want you to meet!" He said nervously, silently begging for Color to not freak out.
Color's smile dropped immediately.
'Someone to meet'...?
He wasn't expecting Delta to bring home a friend so quickly. But doubt began to cloud their mind.
What if he left them for this new person? How will he survive?

Summary
That day had been one of those more hectic ones.
Nightmare had appeared sitting at one of his tables with that one guy with no eye lights who always cried black tar a good thirty minutes before Ccino would have usually opened the doors to his cafe, just so nobody outside could miss their presence and rumors would spread. He had only left two hours after closing time.
One hour after that, it was midnight already, and he’d only just finished cleaning up, shutting down all the machines, and closing the shop. All he had left to do was bring out the trash and check on the two strays he’d spotted out back recently. They hadn’t let him approach them quite yet, but they had started to feed from the food he left out for them on paper plates (when he could spare those) or cans. It was a small step, but a good one.
Imagine his surprise when, as he went to dump two huge trash bags in the dumpster out back, he found the henchman who had accompanied the god that day asleep with their back against it and the two skittish strays cuddled up on their lap, purring up a storm.

Summary
Despite what Killer seemed to think, Delta was far from being stupid.
He could be reckless sometimes, sure. But he still could tell when his best friend’s newest charity project was being a manipulative little shit. To him, it was obvious. When he was trying to get a specific result, Killer usually became even calmer than he was by default and then he would start making some simple observations. Things like: “Oh, it’s surprising that, after knowing Color so long, you still don’t know his favorite type of bug” or “You know, you could start doing better in fights if you let Cross give you some lessons because your form is abysmal”.
To his knowledge, there hadn’t been a single time that Killer lied to his face without him catching onto it.
All of this is to say that, when they found a letter on top of their kitchen table one morning, filled with Killer’s neat handwriting explaining that he went back to Nightmare because things had gotten too much and he needed it all to go away and begging them not to go after him anymore, he could smell the bullshit oozing off of the paper from two rooms away.

This was a stupid idea, and yet he was going through with it anyway.
Killer sat in his room, his back pressed to the door, as he tightened the bow around the box he’d been holding onto. Once it was secured into place, he set it down beside him, not wanting any of his black tears to spill and stain the wrapping.
It was Gyftmas. Killer never celebrated it himself, or if he did, it was years ago- maybe when he was-
He shook his head and stood up, pacing around his room.

Summary
Everyone knew Shrimpo was…quite the character. A character filled with hatred and unbridled rage. But why exactly is that? Shrimpo’s answer to anyone who asked was usually something along the lines of ‘I just hate you!’ or ‘You’re the worst!’. And everyone has accepted this. It’s Shrimpo after all, he was the show's bully. But then an incident occurs during a standard ichor run, with the end result being Shrimpo breaking down in actual tears. In his vulnerable state, Shrimpo reveals a little more than he intended to about why he is how he is. Just that small amount of information is enough to deeply unsettle the toons. They dig deeper, whether Shrimpo wants them too or not.
