Summary
Nie Qiaolian (OC/reader?) born into the Nie sect as the younger sister to Nie Mingjue and the older sister to Huaisang. She first met Lan Xichen when her father was still alive and her elder brother had only just gotten his saber. As both Qiaolian and Xichen grew up they grew closer. Their friendship stood through the death of their parents through letters and Sect meetings.
When Huaisang goes to the Cloud Recesses for his 2nd attempt at passing Qiaolian goes with to keep him in line and see if the Lan Sect Library might have anything to help with the Nie's Qi Deviations. During her time there she fights the waterborne abyss, grow closer to Xichen, meets with informants, and co-conspire with Yanli and Xichen to give wangxian a push in the right direction. Unfortunately the trip was cut short as she needed to go and finish the last of her training with her infamous uncle Zhuliu.
She was there when cloud recess burned, plunging the sects into a time of secrets and war.
Will love win out or will she fall victim to the same fate that claimed your mother's sect?
