Summary
Bart Allen expected what any meta in 2063 expects, to live his life in the service of the government for the greater good. He didn't expect to wake up one day with a broken inhibitor collar and run for it. He definitely didn't expect to time travel to a time before metahumans were slaves, a time when heroes were alive and well, to a time when his favorite hero wasn't dead. He certainly never expected to meet the Flash. Now Bart is living over 40 before he was born and trying to figure out how to live normal, or as normal a life as a speedster from the future can have.
Barry has only been the Flash for a couple of years. Now he has a child to raise on top of his job, being the Flash, and trying to have a romantic life. How is he supposed to give a kid a normal life when he has anything but?

Summary
Nora Allen was murdered in her home. Her husband, Henry, was accused of the crime. Their son, Barry, saw the real killer, a blur of red lightning, but no one believes him. No one but his Uncle Bart. Bart Allen knows his brother would have never killed Nora and he is going to help Barry prove it. Wally West is left having to mourn his sister's murder while taking on the new responsibility of caring for an eight-year-old. That is on top of his work as a CSI and his responsibilities as the Flash. As it goes for people in his line of work, things end up being even more complicated than that.

He looked like her husband. His hair was red, and familiar freckles dotted his pale shoulders. He slept lightly, tossing and turning. This too, was her husband, ever restless, even in sleep.
Sometimes Linda would sit in the room they shared and watch him. In the cut of sunlight through the broken blackout curtains she would stare, trying to recognize him. Trying to see her Wally. -
