  Summary

  A Tawny Man era scene in the winter after the end of Fool's Errand. Canon divergent in that Nighteyes has survived Dutiful's rescue. They have all returned to Buckkeep, finding a way for Fitz and Fool to occasionally drop the guises of Tom Badgerlock and Lord Golden to meet with Nighteyes and Kettricken, enjoy old friendships and relax in front of a cabin fire. Kettricken and Fool agree that men's hairstyles in Buckkeep leave a lot to be desired and Fitz's hair would look very fetching if braided.
