Eda The Owl Lady was petrified, Lilith wasn’t in time, Luz never showed up, and by the next day the Owl House had seemingly disappeared from the Boiling Isles.
Years later, a mysterious pirate from the West known as the Owlet sneaks onto the Boiling Isles with her crew, snatches the petrified remains of the Owl Lady and kidnaps Augustus Porter. Swearing vengeance, Lilith Clawthorne sets sail with her protégé Amity Blight, with Willow Park talking her way aboard to save Gus.
Now, Amity, Willow, Lilith, Boscha and Skara have infiltrated the Pirate Republic of Nassaul on the hunt for Gus and the Owlet; but they don't realize that the two are well aware they are coming, while Salty's Wild Witches come to a drastic agreement in order to save Viney, and all the while the Royal Navy of the West Sea draws closer...

When a young Luz Noceda decides to drink the "potion" she finds, she was not expecting to end up with her reflection being replaced with a dark figure in the shape of a horned skeletal beast staring at her. Nor was she expecting to have her dreams filled with nightmarish lands, walking across black fur and twisting veins.
And if it had been anyone else subjected to this, they would see this as an unending hell.

Summary
Luz knew that she wasn’t supposed to play in the graveyard. Mami told her no. Papi told her no. And yet, she still did it.
An adventure to the Gravesfield Graveyard at five years old reveals something that not even the overly imaginative Luz could have foreseen. This discovery not only changes Luz in a way she can never return from, but it also rips her from her home and her family.
Now in an unfamiliar land, Luz is sent to the local orphanage. There, she meets her very first and very best friend, Amity. They support each other in a world where they have no one. Their bond is not just built on love and trust, but magic as well. Nothing will tear them apart.
Until a promise is broken.
Separated, Luz finds a new family with Eda Clawthorne. She grows and learns magic like she had always dreamed. But Luz is missing a big piece of herself. And she wants it back.
It seems too good to be true when Luz and Amity meet again. But broken trust and broken hearts are not healed so easily. Especially when dark forces are at work that are waiting for the opportunity to swallow them whole.

Summary
Luz is a half angel, born to an Angel Mother and a Human Father, and being raised in the Human Realm. When her chaotic attempts at good deeds and helping people land her in trouble one too many times, she is sent away to a camp for troubled youths, in hopes of finding the right way to help people while surrounded by those who might need her most. However, she instead chases a little owl thief into the Demon Realm and meets the mysterious Owl Lady. As an Angel surrounded by Demons, can Luz finally achieve her potential and awaken her powers? Or will the Demon Realm turn her into something unlike anything the realms have ever seen?
