Severus Snape wakes up in the Dai Llewellyn Bite Ward 49 days after the Battle of Hogwarts.
Injecting a tiny bit of common sense into this AU-Senseless deaths did not happen-world. Not all character time lines match with canon, but efforts were made to not stretch plausibility. Minerva McGonagall and her angry Scots dialect is hard to do, but I gave it my best! Severus Snape is not in good enough health to be the git we know and love, so slightly OOC.

Summary
Children’s hair sometimes changes color as you grow. When he’s young enough for it not to be unusual, but old enough to know he’ll get in trouble for doing something ‘freakish’ again, Harry's hair goes from his father's dark locks to his mother's bright, most-likely-magical red hair.
It changes everything about who he identifies with, who he wants to grow up to be, and who he thinks he is. Instead of having James Potter as his idol, Lily turns out to be a much better influence.
So instead of seeing a scruffy, most-likely-muggleborn boy standing beside him in Madam Malkin's before their first year, Draco only has eyes for the scarlet-haired, green-eyed creature who just walked into his life.
