Summary
This is a slightly different take on the X-Men Evolution episode Rogue Recruit. Something I wrote a while back. This story has around 25 chapters, and rewrite of season 1. Two more books are in the works. It asks the question, "What if Rogue never joined the X-Men?" So this story is all twisted around from the original cartoon, many shocking surprises and a few original characters in the mix.

Summary
This a three part series that is a continuation of Teenage Gambit's Adventures with a de-aged Storm that was touched on in Chapter 8 of Trials of Love.
In the shadowed heart of the Louisiana bayou, two lost souls find each other and a spark of hope begins to glow.
Teenage Remy LeBeau is on the run from the deadly Assassins Guild after breaking their sacred code. Wounded, hunted, and alone, he stumbles upon something unexpected in the mist: a frightened little girl with white hair and no memory of how she got there. She's young, powerful, and very much not supposed to be a child.
The girl is Little Ro: a de-aged Ororo Munroe, transformed by a mysterious force and stranded in the swamp with no idea how to get home. Remy takes her under his wing, guiding her through the dangers of the murky wetlands from gators and Guild traps to his own haunted past.
As they fight to survive and find a way out, a powerful bond begins to form between them. But with assassins closing in, and Ro’s powers spiraling out of control, the bayou won’t let them go without a fight.

Summary
This is an X-Men story centering around Gambit and Rogue, but since it is a no powers story they will be referred to as Remy LeBeau and Anna Marie Darkholme. Rogue is in an abusive relationship with Cody Robbins and she has had enough and leaves, while Remy Lebeau is about to propose to his longtime girlfriend when he walks into her apartment and finds her with another guy. Both are starting their lives over. When they rent apartments in the same building will they both have the courage to move on together?
