Summary
Connor and Markus are both Carl’s androids. When their whole life shatters before them, they go to Jericho—Markus fits right into the revolution. Connor is doing his best.
Hank is a hardened detective in charge of deviant cases. He becomes fixated on trying to catch Connor and Markus. And then he becomes fixated on just Connor. It takes him some time to figure out why.

Enemies to lovers where Hank is hunting down Connor and Markus (mostly Connor), and realizes along the way that his obsession with getting his hands on Connor might not be purely professional
