Kyojuro tilts his head to stare at him. Who knew this would happen? Their first meeting was more like a nightmare than a dream. It was painful, and everything around them smelled of blood — his own and Akaza’s. Hate clashing against hate, neither of them was ready to give up. His destroyed eye kept throbbing painfully, reminding Kyojuro that he was alive. That his heart was still beating despite his many injuries, even though every breath he took was painful. It was pure chaos.
But now they're lying on Kyojuro's bed, side by side, and there's nothing more peaceful.

The lump of blankets wracks itself with another coughing fit, and unthinking of his fear, Akaza reaches out. (To what? Help? Soothe? Save? He is a demon. Such concepts are anathema. And yet, it's Kyojuro.
Akaza was reaching out to him before he knew his name.)

Or: Akaza seeks out Kyojuro only to find him sick. It is the first time he's seen him like this (yet, it's so familiar.)

Summary
Akaza wakes up the next morning with Kyojuro on the other end of the bed, and the kitten, who had initially kept a respectable distance at the end of the bed, having traitorously migrated so he’s curled right in the tangle of Kyojuro’s arms.
Akaza gapes at the sight in front of him for a few moments, not sure if he should be shocked, amused, or betrayed.
Or: Akaza and Kyojuro cat-sit for two weeks. Akaza's not jealous, but he's not not jealous.

For a few moments, they stare at each other before a slow realization dawns on Akaza’s face. He takes a couple of steps back. “Come here.”
Before Kyojuro even knows what he’s doing, his feet are carrying him forward, one step, two steps, three, stopping only when he’s standing right in front of Akaza. The shadow of concern behind his eyes has dissipated into something else entirely. His smile is all teeth, satisfied and a touch devious.
“So that’s what the Blood Demon Art does,” Akaza says.
Or: Kyojuro is hit with a Blood Demon Art with questionable consequences.
