Summary
The year is 2371, and the Federation struggles to control a rising Maquis threat. From Deep Space Nine, Commander Sisko is ordered to launch a covert operation to dismantle the newly discovered communications arrays used by the Maquis to coordinate and organize their efforts. Starfleet's lynchpin for these missions is a human augment recently pulled from prison to assist.
A few scenes reference characters or events from Stitch in Time, though it isn't necessary to have read that novel to follow along.

Summary
Just their luck: Garak and Bashir are stranded together on an uninhabited alien planet. Over months, a mission for survival and a need to share body heat on chilly nights evolves into comfortable domesticity, with physical contact given and received whenever craved. But all perfect things must of course be ruined: their rescue team arrives. Only then do Garak and Bashir realise how intimate they’ve become without realising, and suddenly their shared urge to show gratuitous affection seems inappropriate as friends. But they can’t give it all up, now... can they?

Summary
Beyond the far reaching fingers of the Federation Julian Bashir survives on the kindness of strangers and reciprocal gifts. A place to sleep in exchange for the care of a sick child. A meal for a healed bone. Passage to the next station for sex. Introductions get easier as he travels further, and despite the ever lingering sadness of dreams dashed, Julian finds that he doesn’t mind his life. He rather likes being an intergalactic man of mystery, leaving questions, broken hearts, and healed strangers in his path.
