James didn’t say anything about Will’s change in tone, he just giggled and picked Otto up, getting him out the way. Will resumed his happy humming and toe bouncing while he rinsed the rice. After a few more rounds, James took the pot from Will’s hands and kissed his forehead.
“Mkay, I reckon that’s sufficient, yeah?” James took the pan. “Where ya headed?” James asked because Will was wandering off and for some reason, he didn’t seem as aware of his surroundings.
